The Amherst Chronicles is a song cycle of seven nature poems by Emily Dickinson for soprano and piano, and was written for and dedicated to soprano Nina Kopparhed. The cycle charts the passing of the seasons in a calendar year in Dickinson's home town of Amherst, Massachusetts,

 

The work was first performed by Nina and pianist Neil Crossland at the 2019 Harrow Summer Music Festival, and recorded by them at Ruislip Studios in London in August 2020; click on the SoundCloud player to listen.
